Deploy phishing reporting button - Office 365

Deploy CultureAI reporting button to Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web Access and Outlook Mobile

To deploy the phishing reporting button to Office 365 the following steps are required: 
  • Download settings (manifest) file
  • Log into the O365 admin centre
  • Deploy the add-in

This process is explained in detail below and will automatically deploy the CultureAI phishing reporting button to Outlook Desktop, Web, iOS and Android.

Download settings (manifest) file

1. Login to the CultureAI management platform and browse to the CultureAI Reporter Data Source

The management platform can be accessed from the following URL:

https://platform.culture.ai

From the sidebar, navigate to Data Sources & Integrations (highlighted in yellow), or navigate directly to CultureAI Reporter directly from the Overview page (highlighted in purple)

From the Data Sources & Integrations page, you can access CultureAI Reporter from the list:

2. Download the Office 365 Manifest

From the CultureAI Reporter page, click "Download Manifest":

Deploying the reporting button

1. Navigate to the Office 365 Admin Centre > Settings > Integrated Apps page 

The services and add-ins page in the Office 365 admin centre can be found at the following URL:

https://admin.microsoft.com/AdminPortal/Home?#/Settings/IntegratedApps

2. Click 'Upload custom apps' 

The 'Upload custom apps' option can be found at the top of the list of Add-ins:

3. Upload settings file

Upload the manifest file downloaded from the CultureAI management platform (steps above):

Click next.

4. Select users who will get the plugin

Set the users you wish to deploy the reporting plugin to, or "Entire Organisation" if you wish to roll it out to all your users.

Click next to continue.

5. Review the permissions

The reporting plugin requires a range of permissions such as the ability to read emails and external access so the emails can be submitted to the Triage platform (and to specified email addresses depending on configuration).

6. Review your deployment configuration

Click deploy to complete the setup process. It can take up to 12 hours for the add-in to appear in end-users' Outlook applications. After 12 hours, select an email in Outlook and look for the reporting icon in the main ribbon. If the add-in does not appear after 12 hours, you may need to restart Outlook for it appear.
