What Are Interventions?
Risk detection is only half the story. The real value comes from what happens next.
Interventions are how you automatically respond when a risky behaviour is detected — providing a bubble around your employees to help mitigate the risk they create. This can involve giving users timely nudges, guidance or warnings that help them change behaviour in the moment.
Think of them as smart, targeted prompts designed to prevent a small mistake from becoming a bigger issue.
Examples include:
-
A browser banner telling a user their password is weak and needs updating
-
A Slack message warning that sensitive data was posted in a public channel
-
An email guiding someone to use SSO rather than logging in with local credentials
Interventions are configured within our platform, where you can define:
-
What risk or behaviour should trigger the response
-
Which users or groups it should apply to
-
What message or action should be taken
They’re fast to set up, fully customisable, and help you reduce risk without manual follow-up.
You can start creating interventions right from any detected risk — just click into a risk from the Human Risk Dashboard and head to the Manage Interventions button.
